Tasting notes

Delicate, the nose is carried by white fruits (peach, juicy pear) and fresh citrus (pink grapefruit and yusu). A mineral tip (chalk) and brioche is also discovered in aeration. The mouth is fleshy on a basket of white fruits (mirabelles) and structured on the attack. Champagne of gastronomy all in nuances and dominated by freshness and fruity, it will accompany a filet of Saint-Pierre in sauce, a braised bar and on the end of the meal, a granité of pears.

A tribute to Jean Dumangin

HOMMAGE is a Special Cuvée that was elaborated in memory of Jean Dumangin, fourth generation of champagne producers, who passed away shortly after the 2017 harvest.

His commitment to the Maison Dumangin and his legacy with the transfer of his know-how now allow us today to produce champagnes of character with the greatest respect for the family tradition.

2017 was a great year for the Chardonnays, Jean’s favourite grape variety. We were thrilled by the results of the first tastings of still wines and that confirmed us in our project to create this very Special Cuvée.
